Thankful

There are so many reason that I could write about what I am thankful for. How I love fall and this holiday... I really have a new love for this season and am overflowing with praise to Him for all that He has provided for our family. After reading this post that my college minister's wife and former bible study leader, Jennifer, wrote it really touched my heart on how perfect the timing is for Thanksgiving. It comes before such a busy time of the year. A time if we do not think about it can flash before our eyes without really reflecting on what the real meaning of the season is. I believe, like Jennifer, Thanksgiving is a day to put away our wants and reflect on what we are thankful for. How we need to be reminded of this before we begin our Christmas want list. We have so much to be thankful for. Jesus' birth is the greatest gift that could ever been given to us and how I need to focus in on this during this season above the business that can so easily entangles us.

David and I close on our home this Friday. My mind has been consumed in the TO DO list this house has in store for us. After reflecting on Jennifer's post I realize that I need to still my heart and thank HIM for this home and not worry about the to dos. Can't wait to post pictures of our home...

  1. Stephanie, I am glad that was meaningful to you. It's so easy to get caught up in "do's" and "stuff" and the day-to-day-ness of everyday life...I can so relate to you! I am really making it my goal to be thankful this Christmas season...rather than stressed about every little thing. Congrats to you and David on the new home! So exciting. Love you!
