He is RISEN!!!! And so did my monkey bread rolls...
I decided as one of our Easter traditions to have a special breakfast Easter morning to celebrate Jesus' resurrection. I talked with David to see what would be special for him and he mentioned this monkey bread recipe that his grandmother made. I called her and was so excited to get this recipe because you make it the night before and let it rise in the oven overnight. All you have to do in the morning is bake it. Well I woke up to find that my rolls sure did rise!!!! I think I overfilled the pan!!! It was funny to open the oven and think, "Well Steph your bread has risen and so has your Savior!"What a special day Easter was. I LOVE the whole Easter week and the services that lead up to Easter Sunday. It is so sweet to sing about His ressurection after you have been thinking and praying over all that He did that week. It makes the songs we sing and the Lord's supper just so much sweeter. How I need to think about this more and let my joy and thanksgiving overflow like it did on Easter Sunday everyday!
It was also special to have our family over to our house for lunch. Sweet sweet memories!!!
