This weekend my mom, Christen and I threw a baby shower for a very special friend. We were so excited to celebrate the upcoming arrival of Abby and John David's sweet baby girl! I just can't wait to meet her!!! Tucker is super excited to have a new friend and is so looking forward in play dates!
The theme of the shower was coffee and desserts so of course the color pallet was pink and brown.
The invitation

We played the
Wright Baby Shower game. My mom read the story and the present was passed to the right or the left when the words "right/wright" or "left" were said in the story. The person holding the gift at the end of the shower was the winner. Everyone had fun passing/throwing the present around the room!

And the winner...

Christen, from
The Uncontainable Truth, came up with the sweetest idea to have a prayer calendar to pass out. I just loved this idea and am looking forward to the month of December where we will all join together to pray for the newest addition to the Gray Family and the new mommy and daddy.

Diaper cake. Check out
this post on a how to make the cake.

Flower arrangements were single hot pink
gerber daisies anchored in coffee beans.

The food including homemade chocolate chip cookies made by my fabulous husband and homemade brownies by Mrs. Schenk and Mrs. Huckaba.

I acquired baby pictures of the new mommy and daddy and used them on the food tags. I can't wait to see if baby gray is going to look like her mommy or daddy or both!

Pink Lemonade punch, simple recipe of two cans frozen pink lemonade concentrate mixed with a 2 liter of sprite.

Look at all the presents!!! The Gray's were showered! YEAH!

The soon to be momma and daddy!

John David was so excited about the baby carrier! Too cute!
Favors of chocolate covered
biscotti.

Family and Friends

Ashley took the great pictures for the shower! Thank you so much... you have a GREAT eye!

Me and Abby
Well we all had a wonderful time at the shower. It was a beautiful day and God truly provided for the shower. I found out on Thursday that I had walking pneumonia after I finished taking Tucker to the doctor to find out he had his first ear infection. Also, my dad AND my sweet baby sitter also came down with walking
pneumonia!!! The Lord put it on Mrs.
Huckaba's and Mrs.
Schenk's heart to come and help set up and take down for the shower. How thankful I was to have their help along with my amazing husband, mom and the future daddy to be! Thank you so much for the help you gave!!! Lord you are so good and you really are the ultimate provider. Well back to bed for me because I am still not feeling so good but am just so thankful for all that He has done for us this weekend! :)
